HISTORY:
Sara has worked nationally and internationally in theatre, film, television and voice for the past twelve years. 2008 saw her return from sell out shows at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, CHINA, and UNIMA Perth, Aus, with Terrapin's award winning Explosion Therapy (Winner: 'Most Outstanding Production' Shanghai International Children's Theatre Festival). Other recent stage highlights include working under the direction of Jessica Wilson and Jim Lasko (Red Moon Theatre, Chicago) in the large scale outdoor event Dream Masons for the Ten Days on the Island Festival, and world premiere performances of 2008's AWGIE winning Beyond The Neck. The role of 3 was written specifically for Sara by Holloway, and the play, 'a quartet on grief and violence', written after interviews with survivors from the 1996 Port Arthur massacre.
In 2000 Sara played the role of Jack's sister in Channel Ten's award winning mini-series My Brother Jack, performing opposite Matt Day and Will McInnes. From 1997 to 2009 as well as appearing in numerous shorts and commercials she has performed in over 28 stage shows, recorded multiple character voices for BLUE ROCKET's animation Pixel Pinkie, airing nationally on Channel Nine in July 2009, appeared as a regular reader for the Australian Script Centre, played to 17,000 strong audiences for Theatre Alfresco's summer children's shows, and graced large scale festivals and corporate events with roving characters.
This year sees her direct Tania Bosak's new touring show, perform readings for PlayWriting Australia's National Play Festival, and work as an acting consultant on Terrapin Puppet Theatre's Helena and The Journey of The Hello, touring to The Sydney Opera House mid year.
Sara has studied under world renowned performers Justus Neumann and Phillipe Gaulier, and graduated from the John Bolton Theatre School Vic in 1997.
